Due to precautions necessitated by COVID 19 all in-person Support Group
Meetings are canceled until further notice
Virtual meetings will be held via the
online meeting platform, Zoom.
We care about our NAMI Family and that is why we made the difficult decision to suspend all community activities, including our support groups, for the foreseeable future.
This decision will be reviewed weekly- we miss you already and hope to see everyone soon!
Our commitment to provide the information and support you need, now more than ever, has not changed. NAMI Scranton & Northeast Region will now be offering virtual support groups. Our groups will still follow NAMI guidelines and protocols but instead of meeting in person, we will meet over the internet using our computers, phones and other smart devices.
NAMI Scranton & Northeast Region online activities during
COVID 19 via the free online platform ZOOM
Online NAMI Support Groups will be held every Monday at 7 PM until further notice.
Registration is required prior to participation.
Please reach out via email to and answer the following questions:
1. What is your name and contact information?
2. Why do you want to participate in a NAMI meeting?
3. Please provide an emergency contact name and phone number.
The meeting sign on information will be sent to you via email.
Please be assured that we will never share your information and we will not contact you or your emergency contact except in the event of an emergency. During an in person meeting if a distraught person abruptly leaves the group we have the ability to follow to check on their safety. We need to be able to follow up if the same happens in a group. In that event we will attempt to contact you first and only if we are unsuccessful will we reach out to your emergency contact.
